Today is my 3rd day in Shanghai. I am going for my treasure hunt after
my breakfast and hope my luck will be better than yesterday. But today
is just the 2nd day for Jean and Cynthia, so they are really excited
as this is their 1st time to visit a country outside USA. I bring them
to the restaurant which I tried yesterday. It seems that Cynthia and
Jean enjoy a lot.
I order a Noodle Soup for Cynthia and Porridge + Fried Noodle for Jean.
We start our “treasure hunting” journey straight after our breakfast.
HERE WE GO! 🙂
Our “1st stop” stop at one of my friend’s shop at OLD SHANGHAI STREET. Jean has bought a really nice BIRTHDAY CHILD’S BLOUSE which was made in the 30s to 40s. It cost her RMB650.00. Cynthia has also bought a porcelain baby boy which cost her RMB100.00. For me, NO LUCK. Only bought a comic – TIN TIN at OLD SHANGHAI 😦
After the hunting, the 3 of us went to YUE YUEN which was a private garden in Ming Dynasty.
We are having our lunch at one of the restaurant at OLD SHANGHAI
STREET. Really bad, so decided not to take any pictures. ;-(
The 3 of us continuning our treasure hunting after our bad lunch. Later, I brought them to visit my close friend. Although we didn’t buy anything from his antique shop, my friend still invite us to a REALLY REALLY NICE tea house which is opened by a French Lady. 🙂
The tea house named “SONG FANG Maison de the”. Address is 227 Yongjia Road, Shanghai 200031. Tel: 64338283. It is a MUST TRY if you have a chance to visit Shanghai. 🙂
8pm. We went for a dinner. It is quiet a delicious dinner for us tonight. Xiao Ping Restaurant is highly recommendation by Mr Pang. The price is reasonable, only RMB185 (less than S$40.00), for 5 of us, 7 dishes.
